At the Institute for Digital Fabrication at Ball State University, students used the lasercut mylar to produce shapes and joints to create these beautiful lighting fixtures. They are really fascinating...the program also called. i.M.A.D.E is at the frontier of object design. Posted below are some photographs of the work.
