Southern Quilts

So for a final project for my fibers and material studies class I have to do this huge project of my choice using the techniques we have learned this year....we have learned everything from rope making to embroidery to quilting. So I figured I would use the south (dirty, gritty south) as a source of inspiration. I plan on quilting using the log cabin pattern and focusing on imagery like the shacks, run down silos, and water towers that line the dirt roads. This quilt is not for use on the bed but more for artistic quality and technique...if you have any ideas please email me or comment on this post below. I have one 12 x 12 inch square down....a lot more to go!!
