Today in my Fiber and Material Studies class we painted on different kind of fabrics with extender and concentrated color. I had never heard of extender, but it is this glossy, plastic-like paint (when it dries) that you can mix with a few drops of concentrated paints to get deep, rich colors. We had a "play day" really and our professor let us go at it with stencils, sponges, and lots of other tools. It was a great technique and it dries surprisingly quick and soft. I took a few pics in class of my sample...
I tend to paint these in the same manner as I paint with my encaustics
